That’s why our Product teams have been hard at work, building new features and product updates designed to give you more of what you need to succeed. Here are the key CarGurus product improvements you can expect now, and in the weeks to come.
Keep shoppers within your listings with new ‘Recommended for you’ carousel
We’re constantly testing new ways to improve the shopper experience to optimise lead conversion and performance for our dealer partners. The latest way we’re doing that is through the addition of a new ‘Recommended for you’ carousel at the bottom of the Vehicle Detail Page (VDP), which features 10 of the most closely related vehicles from your existing stock.
Available only to our paying dealer partners, the carousel gives you a new space to promote your vehicles in a targeted way, keeping in-market shoppers within your dealerships’ listings. It leverages our recommendation engine, so it displays the vehicles that are most likely to appeal to the specific shopper on your VDP.
We’re expanding our partnership with CarFinance 247
For more than a year, CarGurus has partnered with CarFinance 247, the UK’s leading digital car finance platform connecting car buyers, sellers, and lenders. Nearly half of all car shoppers (45%) would prefer to handle financing online before visiting a dealership, according to the 2022 CarGurus Buyer Insight Report.
This partnership gives consumers the ability to arrange their financing before visiting a dealership, reflecting a consumer’s higher intent to buy and saving dealers time during the sales process. Given the success of the partnership, we’re now expanding this feature to segments of our dealers on Enhanced Listings packages and above. All CarGurus dealer partners are exempt from the normal CarFinance 247 admin fees.
No action is needed on your end. Should you not wish to have this partnership displayed, please contact your Account Manager at 0800 808 5557 to have this option removed from your VDPs.
ICYMI: update your listings on the go with CarGurus Dealer mobile app
Launched last month, CarGurus Dealer makes it easy to access your account and update your VDPs from anywhere. In the app, you can:
- Update your vehicles’ prices in real time. Use the Pricing Tool to adjust your vehicles’ prices to make sure your deal ratings reflect the current market in just a few taps.
- Get alerted instantly when shoppers enquire. Access all your leads in one place so you can quickly follow up and close more deals.
- Stay on top of your account. Reduce your day-to-day strain knowing you can verify your current listings and manage all your most important tasks right within the app.
